Dr. Danielle K. Burgess
DDS, MS, MMSC
Dr. Danielle Burgess is originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica. She completed her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She went on to complete her residency training in Periodontology at Harvard University. She was the inaugural recipient of Harvard’s Periodontics Fellowship Award as well as the National Dental Association’s Dr. Delaney Post-Doctoral Award. She has published on the topic of aggressive periodontitis and is presently researching the relationship between periodontal disease and type II diabetes as well as the impact of Covid-19 on receiving dental care.
